Let me explain Madison's excitement leading up to Halloween. Basically when I needed her to behave I would remind her Halloween was coming up and she needed to be a good girl! It helped so well :-)
Madison of course was Cinderella and Avery had every intention to be Ariel (Little Mermaid)!
Madison was a perfect Cinderella! She had the wig and all! The wig was falling apart so we converted it in to a long haired wig. It was cute but also made her look a bit 'hillbillish' but she was still cute! Madison sat in front of the mirror for a good 10 min and looked at herself and practiced saying trick or treat...ADORABLE!
When I put Ave's costume on she HATED every second it was on. Two different times, she tried taking it off and it ripped. So thankfully I had all of Madison's old costume from when she was a Duck, two years ago. Avery was a perfect duck and she loved every second of it! She even had the duck waddle!
We got the girls ready to go and all the adults got their drinks and off we went around the neighborhood! Madison and Avery did so good! Madison was VERY brave and went to a couple houses by herself (I stood farther back). She told me "Mommy, I do it myself"...my baby girl is growing up so fast! Avery had a blast. She wanted to go in to numerous houses and every piece of candy that she got was attempted to go in her mouth, wrapper and all! She was FURIOUS when she couldn't hold her bucket of candy!
All in all it was a great night and thanks to Mar, Shel and Trav for joining us! Todd you did a great job handing out candy :-)
