Pre-School 2013

Few weeks late...sorry!!!

The start of the school year is here and I can't believe it!

Both girls were so excited for the new year. They got their back packs ready, new 'school' shoes and couple new outfits. Being the first year, Avery was soooooooooooo excited for school but I don't think she really understand what was happening. We were talking school up and telling her that we would drop her off with her new friends and would pick her up after a little bit. She seemed ready and was PUMPED!

It was an emotional time for me because not only will this be Madison's last year before the big K but Avery started school for the first time. I was not worried about Madison because she seems so much older than 4-5 years old. I was a nervous wreck for Avery. She has not been in daycare since she was a baby and the fact that she is my 'baby'!

The week before school started they had orientation and both girls were sad to leave school. I hope that never changes and loves school each year. They were VERY polite, quiet, kind, listened and shared toys. We were so impressed and made us feel like we are doing something right with our kids. They are young and we still have a while to go but so far we were very proud of our girls and how they acted.

Tuesday, September 10th...start of the first day preschool for both girls.
It was Madison's second year and Avery's first year in school. It was a big day and boy were the kids excited! I got the kids up early for a healthy breakfast, outfits picked out the night before, new shoes ready to wear, backpacks all labeled, camera charged and ready to go. I got the kids ready and enough time to get some quick pictures with mom and dad! It was a proud moment as they were so excited and couldn't wait to go learn, play and meet new friends. Avery kept asking me what her friends names are and I had to remind her that she had to ask them. She didn't quite understand :-)

If wondering yes, I almost cried but held back. When we dropped Avery off at her room I started to tear up as she walked in to class for the first time ever with no hesitation. Thank goodness the exit door was close to her room so I quickly put on my sunglasses and speed outside and breathe ;-)

Here are some photos we took at home and while at school :-) They had a great day at school. They were all smiles as they came out of the room at pick up time. To this day they get VERY excited to go and hope it continues for a LONG time to come.
