I hope everyone had a great, fun and safe Halloween!
Let me tell you how much fun Madison had trick-or-treating!
All day we have been practicing coaching Madison with say "Trick-or-Treat" and then "thank you"! She had it down. It sounded more like "fruck-or-freat" but that is okay! As we were getting ready to go outside TJ got the wagon all cleaned out. Madison in her Elmo costume all warm and ready to go. Avery was all bundled up and in my front carrier thing! We were ready to rock and roll!
TJ and I thought, hey its her first time going house to house, she will probably only last a few houses and be ready to go back! WELL...we were surely mistaken! Madison got right in the doors and said trick-or-treat.
Her first house she even tried to go in house and wanted to eat the first piece of candy! So we go to a couple more houses and she is doing GREAT! WELL then, by the third house we see the lady is dressed up as a mummy! We decide hey, hopefully she will do okay and not freak out. I had Madison ready and practicing what to say! We get to the door and I said cute because I could tell she was scared...she would not say anything. She was stepping backwards and after a couple minutes of the lady trying to talk to her, I got Madison to say thank you! After that house the next few house were "scary"! It finally then took her 5 houses for her to start saying trick-or-treat...but she came back! We did get her to say at least thank you every time...we were proud!
Madison could have kept going, she was so proud of her candy! She would say, "Mommy, wook at all my suff"!
She was very good at it and we were getting close to the house and Avery ended up falling asleep so I put her in her car seat. TJ was trying to help me and had Madison get on the grass and wait...well we were wrong. She said, "I do it myself" and started walking up to the door by herself, swinging her bucket of candy...
We ended up going to about 20 houses and TJ and I called it quits because there was candy to be passed out!
TJ and I could not have been more proud of our girl(s)!
Madison preparing to go trick-or-treating for the first time! This is the first house...right before walking up to the door! I was surprised she stood for the picture!
After Madison getting her first piece of candy! As you can tell, TJ/Daddy could not be more proud of his little girl! She did however, try walking into the house...only Madison!
Taking Madison to her second house...of course NO one was home. Do you see that light on...if you have a light on you pass out candy people...rude, haha!
Us girls making our way down the blocks!
The darn mummy who scared Madison...after that the next few houses were "scary"!
Momma's little Elmo!!
...another house...
She would say "Knock Knock" rather than actually knocking on the door...goof ball! But, hey she had the right idea!!!
Awww...picking out candy! She was always good and only grabbed one. TJ said when he would bring her to the door, she would try to grab a whole handful....not with Mamma!
On the last block of houses! She wanted to walk!
After all was done...she was soooooooooo good, we even let her have TWO suckers! She kept saying Thank You! She walked around the kitchen and living room with her sucker like she was SOOO proud! She was one happy Elmo!!!!
