It was Avery's actual birthday on Wednesday and she had a good day!!!
Here is a picture of what a 1 year old Avery Elizabeth looks like after me singing Happy Birthday to her after she woke up. She actually was laughing and smiling but when the flash went off on the camera this is the face we got!!! Its funny and cute!!!

She brought cookies to daycare and they had ice cream to go with it! She had a good day!!!
After daycare the celebration continued at home!
Since Avery LOVES pizza and doesn't seem to like a lot of other things we decided that pizza would be a good celebration meal!!! She ate the pizza and loved it SOOOO much! That was the most I have seen her eat and the quietest she has been at meal time. She usually is yelling or pushing my hand away from her mouth because she doesn't want to eat! I was happy she enjoyed her birthday meal! She better like it because we are having it on Saturday for the birthday bash :) !!
As you can tell she enjoyed her pizza because look at that smile and that face, hands and tummy! That is ALL pizza!!!!

Madison enjoying the pizza and getting ready for CAKE!!!! Of course we had to get Madison a special piece of cake at the store. She had a rough time allowing the birthday to be about Avery and not Madison! She did good but had a few too many melt downs :) She will eventually understand it!

After pizza it was time for CAKE...already messy from pizza... might as well just add to it!!! I was very excited because I found a giant cupcake and thought it would be perfect for Avery's smash cake!

Her excitement was priceless!!!

Here is a close up of great cupcake cake! There is a large finger indentation on the side because it slid in the box!

We gave her the cake to dig in...this is pretty much what it looked like. She maybe had a couple bites but could have cared less. She actually got whiney and wanted to get down. I was bummed because we got her this great cake but then again I didn't have to worry about cleaning up a HUGE mess of frosting!

We tried to cut it for her to see if that would make her want to eat it...BUT NOPE that didn't help either! She just didn't want it!

Since the clean up wasn't much at all it was time for presents. We got Avery (and Madison will use it) a water table! Avery loves to splash in the water and thought since the summer they will be outside a lot why not get a water toy! She/they loved it!!!

Mauer also loved it too...it was a perfect height for a water dish :) Avery would splash and Mauer would try to drink the splashed the water. It was actually really cute!!!

Daddy got the girls adaromdack chairs for the summer! Avery loves to sit in chairs or stand on them!

She is taking a rest from all that splashing! My baby girl is losing her baby fat...her belly is going down and growing up! She is my little string bean :)

And here is the big sister! Like I said before, she had a rough time adjusting to the fact that it was NOT her birthday and it was only Avery's! We did buy a small gift for Madison and got her a special big piece of cake but she had a rough time. The attention was not on her and it was not the same for her! She managed to get through the night and do okay but there was a lot of melt downs and as you can tell she was done and it was time for bed!!!! Ready for a new day! I am hoping she will understand that Saturday is a party for her! The girls and TJ went to Target to order the cake and Madison wanted a PRINCESS cake and of course got upset! I am sure come October she will be ready for her Princess Birthday Cake!
Its time for BED!!!!!

The end of a great day! Thanks to the family/friends who helped make her actual birthday day special!!! We can't wait for Saturday...hopefully everyone will enjoy!
