Happy Heart Day

Happy Valentines Day Everyone!

Our Valentines started yesterday because TJ had to work this evening. He treated his girls to a night at a restaurant! It was a fun time and to top it off Madison had her first ever school Valentine's Day party! She was so happy that she got to pass out her own cards with suckers and she signed her name on each 16 cards. She also got her two teachers a small box of chocolates. It makes me get all teared up thinking she is growing up!!!!

Today was all about love and making sure we used and did everything in hearts, red, pink and was made with love!!!

  • This morning the girls gave daddy their specially made Valentine's cards! Madison even wrote, "Dad I Love U, Maddi"!!!! I was so proud of her and she was proud of her artwork.
  • I started out the day with some Hello Kitty Valentine's shirts and headed to Target in style :-) The girls got to pick out a little gift. Madison chose Hello Kitty sparkly shoes (ON SALE TJ) and Avery chose a Hello Kitty enormous sticker book. If you know Avery, she is OBSESSED with stickers. I tried to get her to chose something else because the stickers end up on the hardwood floors, carpet, wall and basically everywhere they aren't supposed to be.

  • After Target, I went to get our second year tradition of Papa Murphy's Heart Pizza!
  • We got back from running errands and we made homemade sugar heart cookies that they LOVED! I let them have a small bundle of the dough and they used the rolling pins and rolled away with LOTS of flour. They did this for about an hour. They had so much fun.

  • After cleaning up the mess I made them heart shaped sandwiches for lunch.
  • Of course with the fun and busy day they both took naps (of course had to wear their sparkly shoes).
  • For dinner we ate our fabulous heart pizza!
  • After dinner we got invited over to the Kvilhaug's to celebrate Aidan's 6th Birthday (actually birthday is tomorrow)!

All in all it was a good day with my beautiful girls!

Thanks to everyone that got the girls cards/candy/gift for Valentines day. They really enjoyed everything!
