Avery went to the ENT specialist at the Children's Hospital yesterday! They wanted to check her throat area because she was always sounding like she needed to clear her throat and cough up phlegm for going on 6 MONTHS.
First of all I need to complain...driving down there is NOOOO fun. Thanks to TJ who did that for me!
We get to the appointment and Madison is LOVING the toys the waiting room! Avery found this big block thingy and loved it (see picture)...I should look in to getting her one of these things! Wish all waiting rooms at doctors had fun children toys!
The doctor checked Avery out and wanted to put a small tube that has a video camera type thing on the end and put it through her nose. She DID not like it but did great!
Results are:
She is fine. There is nothing wrong with her anatomy and all looks good. Doctor said that she will grow out of it. She either has just extra fluid or just doesn't pass it through fast enough (not a bad thing) but will grow up and wont be a problem. He did say that Acid Reflux can go hand in hand with this type of condition. There is nothing I can do to help it, just let her body grow. He did say that it will fix itself around 1-1 1/2 years old! I was not "all" that worried about being anything serious just wanted to get an answer to what is going on or anything. I am happy with the results because I know she will grow out of it...even if its not a clear answer I know its okay!
